For yet another year, Nitra Gallery in Thessaloniki presents the anniversary exhibition-tribute dedicated to important representatives of the 80s generation. Twelve artists that have influenced Greek Painting are presented together in a group show in Thessaloniki.

The generation that completes her studies and begins to produce work in the 80s has as a common thread the return to painting, the study of the aspects of their reality, often with an athropocentric approach and an ecological emphasis on nature. This ‘80s generation is in dialogue with their European collegues and the so-called International Transavantgarde; a wave of painting that studies tradition only to conquer new grounds through the medium.

The participating artists Nikos Angelidis, Dafni Angelidou, Chryssa Verghi, Stefanos Daskalakis, Irene Iliopoulou, Irene Kana, Dimitris Koukos, Vangelis Rinas, Pavlos Samios, Anna Maria Tsakali, Maria Filopoulou and Manolis Charos, twelve great creators in an exhibition that highlights the common but differentiated features of this generation.
