Theodoros Zafeiropoulos’s work HomeLand is an installation in progress, realised in the framework of Goethe-Institut Thessaloniki’s programme “Artecitya. Envisioning the City of Tomorrow (2014-2018)”, supported by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union. HomeLand is an installation in progress of a collection of soil samples, created through specially designed workshops for children and adults. Inspired by the subject of Mediterranea 18, the artist will put together an archival collection of soil from the broader areas of Northern Greece and Albania.

During the biennale, the artist will give introductory workshops on the ancient rammed-earth technique, as well as lectures exploring the core ideas of this project.
