On Thursday, June 1, “Orthographs” by Yiorgis Yerolymbos will be celebrated, at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City.
The book traces the construction of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) and offers a unique account of the project’s development over time through the photographic lens of Yerolymbos.
Yerolymbos’ photos, which are shot from above, vividly illustrate the daily activities during the construction phase of the SNFCC and give us a new perspective to the interpretation of the building.
The event will take place at The Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Education and Research Building, which holds the MoMA Manhattan Library, part of MoMA’s midtown Manhattan campus. Representatives from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation will attend, in addition to other representatives from the arts sector.
The publication of the book was made possible with funding from the SNF.
